All IC models support chord playback.
For models other than NV180C, when operated with a 5V power supply, the voice IC must be powered through series-connected 1N4007 or 1N4148 diodes to reduce the operating voltage to approximately 4.5V.

Notably, it is the only voice IC on the market capable of supporting up to 223 voice messages in an 8-pin package.
The NVD series is available in various practical package options, such as SOP8 and COB.
